Building from what exists.

We make reuse operational through circular architecture, advice and technical support. We research and train so that every team has the knowledge and tools needed to put it into practice.

We work with owners, developers, professionals, contractors, demolition companies and public bodies to turn reuse opportunities into viable solutions that preserve the value of buildings and their components.

Circular architecture

We start from what exists to create architecture with identity and spaces that are a pleasure to live in. We work with its possibilities and constraints, combining design and technical rigour to meet people’s needs and the environmental, social and economic conditions of each project.

  • Renovation and transformation. We adapt buildings to new uses and needs, making the most of their qualities and components. We balance conservation and economic viability to create warm, welcoming spaces that bring well-being to those who live in them.
  • New buildings. We design buildings that integrate reused materials from the very first design decisions. We think about how they will be lived in: comfortable spaces, with a carefully managed budget from the start and ready to adapt over time.
  • Interiors and temporary spaces. We create spaces with character from reused materials, paying attention to aesthetics, use and cost. We design solutions that make dismantling, transformation and reuse easier.

Advice and support

We help our clients define their reuse goals and put them into practice. We combine technical and regulatory knowledge with an understanding of design, costs and construction. We work in dialogue with each team to anticipate difficulties, weigh alternatives and make decisions with confidence throughout the project. From a one-off consultation to support throughout construction, we provide the tools and judgement to decide with confidence.

  • Pre-demolition audits and resource assessment. We identify existing materials and components and assess their potential for conservation and reuse before a renovation or deconstruction. We prepare inventories of buildings and property portfolios to plan future work.
  • Technical assistance and project support. We define the reuse strategy with the owner and coordinate decisions and actors during the project. We support architecture practices with design, technical specifications and installation, and demolition and deconstruction companies with recovery, dismantling, handling and storage of components.
  • Materials and new uses. We act as material brokers: we source materials for projects and find new outlets for available materials. We coordinate their preparation and transport with our partners.
  • Technical assessment and characterisation. We assess whether materials are suitable for their intended use and coordinate the documentation, checks and tests needed to incorporate them into the project.
  • Management strategies and tools. We develop guides, protocols, procurement criteria and management models so that public bodies and organisations can build reuse into their work.

Research and training

We generate and share the knowledge and tools that professionals and organisations need to put reuse into practice.

Continuous learning and dialogue guide our work: we compare experiences, explore solutions and share what we learn to anticipate difficulties and make sound decisions.

  • Applied research. We take part in European and national research projects and connect their findings with each team’s challenges. We develop tools and test solutions on real cases.
  • Training, workshops and talks. We deliver training, run workshops and speak at conferences. We bring reuse closer to professionals, companies, public bodies and the education community, with content tailored to each audience and grounded in practice.
