Description

Doors recovered from the changing rooms of Reial Club de Tennis Barcelona-1899 and donated to Tokafusta. They were dismantled at the club and went straight to the workshop, with no intermediate storage. The wood, the signs of use and the numbered plates hold part of the club’s everyday life.

The images of interiors are indicative renderings of possible uses.

Possible uses

Wall cladding, cupboard and furniture fronts, locker doors or partition panels. Grouped on a wall, their grain, tones and numbers form a new surface that keeps the traces of their history.

Impact (estimate)

≈ 0.9 t CO₂e avoided

Fossil emissions from manufacturing about 157 m² of new okoume plywood, the area of the 531 doors. The wood also keeps about 2 t of biogenic CO₂ stored.

Transport from the club to the workshop (about 22 km by light truck): ≈ 11 kg CO₂e.

Sources: FDES okoume plywood Joubert (INIES, 2025), modules A1–A3; DEFRA/BEIS 2024 transport factor, rigid truck 3.5–7.5 t, average load.
